About the Event

Beginner’s home fragrances is our most recent course here at MBC Arts Wellbeing. This course gives you the chance to create a range of stunning home fragrance products – including natural soy wax and essential oil candles, beautiful room fragrance diffusers, and nourishing soaps, plus much more. We only have funding to deliver one of these free courses, so places are limited. Read on for more information on the course, eligibility, and how to book your place!

Led by our friendly, expert tutors this course gives participants the chance to learn and apply the specialist techniques used to create a range of handmade products. You’ll create beautiful handmade items you can take home each week – the products are a pleasure to use and will bring an extra special touch to any home.

This free course is being delivered over 5 days – one day each week for 5 weeks, from 10am to 4.30pm each day, and includes a free lunch each day of the course that we will provide. You will begin by learning how to create your very own soy wax candles, creating two candles using a range of fragrances. You will also learn how to create two stunning room diffusers, before moving on to the technique of making soaps. You will get the chance to create 400 grams of exfoliating soaps, as well as essential oil and fragranced soaps – using a range of natural exfoliants, oils and bases. You will also use mica powder to experiment with creating richly multi-coloured soaps and candles. During the sessions you’ll work with a range of high quality natural materials as well as specialist tools and equipment. Everything is included in the course – from materials, to tools, to containers – even aprons! Just bring yourself and be ready to have fun and learn lots of new things.

In order to take part, you must be able to attend the full course. Please ensure you are able to take part in the full course before signing up for a place. Please see below to see if you are eligible for a place on this fantastic free opportunity…
